CCSSE - Support for Academic Library Survey Content: Home

The CCSSE/SALSC guide supports the Center's initiative for academic library content for the nationally known and respected CCSSE surveys. As such, it includes references on assessment and value information as well as ideas for marketing completed surveys.

Value of Academic Libraries

Academic Library Assessment

The Center for Community College Student Engagement, a research and service initiative of the Program in Higher Education Leadership in the College of Education at The University of Texas at Austin, provides important information about effective educational practice in community colleges. The Center assists institutions and policymakers in using information to promote improvements in student learning, persistence, and attainment.

Academic libraries are committed to assessment and are excited about the addition of library content to CCSSE survey content. This support team will maintain this LibGuide as a working document for suggesting areas, wording and questions as well as supporting research for each question. Content will include information literacy, destination (virtual/digital and actual) resources for student success (in person and distance learning,) student retention – all of which, of course, are part of the bigger discussion and the Center’s focus on student engagement.
