These library databases are your best bets for articles from film journals and magazines. Note: these are general, multi-subject databases, so you will have to be careful to identify material relevant to global film studies.

JSTOR includes 19 film studies journals and nearly 2000 e-books. Tip: After searching, narrow your results to "Film Studies" using the "Subject" filter on the left.
Contains more than a thousand academic journals and over one million images, letters, and other primary sources.

This is a general database, so beware of irrelevant materials, newspaper articles, non-film publications. Use the "Publication" filter on the left to narrow to film journals like "film comment."

This database has full-text coverage of Sight & Sound: The International Film Magazine (2000-2020). After searching, use the "Publication" filter on the left to limit to "sight & sound" or other film journals.
