Palliative Care and Pain Websites
A quick note on the difference between hospice care
and palliative care. Although both focus on the management and relief
of pain, hospice care is provided for terminally ill patients with a
life expectancy of 6 months or less. Palliative care may be used in
hospice situations, but palliative care may also be used for patients
who are not terminally ill and are seeking treatment.
