Experience

Faculty Librarian – Austin Community College

  • Worked towards developing impactful and engaging information literacy sessions by using various EdTech like Polleverywhere, Kahoot, and Padlet.

  • Co-taught and solo taught information literacy sessions in an academic setting for History, Chemistry, English, and Educational Development courses.

  • Provided reference services for community college students in person, over the phone, and in chat form.

  • Performed collection development for the subjects Philosophy/Humanities/Religion, Journalism, and  Paralegal, by reviewing and purchasing material through Gobi.

  • Participated in college wide events, such as, Riverbat Bash and graduation.

  • Served as the Social Media Coordinator for ACC Library Services' Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts. 

  • Created content for social media accounts using Adobe Spark and Canva so as to present information in a interesting format.

  • Curated relevant information in assigned subject LibGuides to aid in students understating of a subject and connect them to resources that are available to them as ACC students.
