ACC Support Services

ACC Mental Health Counseling Services

ACC Mental Health Counseling Services provides virtual tele-mental health and in-person mental health counseling for enrolled ACC students. Visit the Mental Health Counseling website for more information.

Appointment Information

To schedule an appointment or referral for mental health clinical services, please submit a Mental Health Counseling Services Referral/Request .

Whether you are looking for access to food or resources for other essentials like housing, transportation, legal aid, child care, etc., the Student Care Center at the Highland Campus is here to help you get what you need so that you can focus on your academic goals. Visit the Student Care Center website for more information on hours of operation, how to get free groceries, and other available support.

The Student Advocacy Center (formerly the Support Center) provides specialized assistance and referrals to help you overcome personal and family challenges to completing your education. Contact the Student Advocacy Center at sac-group@austincc.edu or by directly contacting an advocate.

Visit ACC’s Social Support Resources website to learn about child care support. Additionally, ACC’s Student Advocacy Center can provide eligible parents with child care scholarships and guidance accessing related family support, including family civil legal assistance.

You and your family can receive groceries at no cost through ACC’s partnerships with Central Texas Food Bank’s (CTFB) mobile food distributions and other community partner food access opportunities. ACC-hosted food access events will be updated on this schedule .

Apply for ongoing federal benefits like Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) , and Women, Infants & Children (WIC) with the help of ACC’s trained Student Advocacy Center specialists or schedule an appointment with CTFB at CTFB's appointment page . Apoyo con SNAP aplicación por CTFB .

The CARES program is dedicated to the prevention, early intervention, and response to students’ concerning, disruptive, and threatening behaviors. Community Services

FindHelp provides a comprehensive search platform for various community services in the Austin area, including emergency food assistance. This platform allows users to find and access food pantries, meal services, and a wide range of other support services based on the 78745 ZIP code. It's a valuable resource for those in immediate need as well as for long-term assistance. Additionally, FindHelp can assist with education, food insecurity, health, transit, goods, financial aid, legal support, and employment assistance.

Travis County provides utility assistance, home repair, and other family support services like food pantries which are available every 30 days per household without a waiting list.

The City of Austin has programs like the Austin Healthy Adolescent Program, which aims to enhance youth leadership across the community, offering support for LGBTQ+ youth among other services.

Provides federal grants for supplemental foods, healthcare referrals, and nutrition education for low-income women and children up to age five.

The SAFE Alliance offers services including advocacy, crisis intervention, and comprehensive services for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, sex trafficking, and child abuse. They provide 24/7 support through various channels.

Salute offers Financial Assistance to veterans who are in active duty, injured and/or the transitioning back to civilian life For those in need of financial assistance, you can apply directly through SALUTE, Inc. This organization offers support to military members, veterans, and their families. The application process is streamlined to ensure that those in need can access support efficiently.
