This guide will help you find and access the library's resources for Journalism research.

There are several types of information available to Journalism students through the ACC libraries, both in print form and electronically.

During your research journey, make sure to consider your beat.

What is a beat? A beat is an area in which a reporter focuses on as their area of specialization.

Some beat categories to consider:

Territorial - geographically
Jurisdictional - government agency
Topical - specific issues like politics, weather, and health

Books You can find a good selection of journalism content in our book collection. A book can also provide detailed background and historical information on reporting as well as media criticism.
Articles Articles from journals, magazines, and major newspapers are the primary sources for recent reviews and criticism in the journalism field. ACC databases can help connect you to these articles.
Websites The internet can provide a wealth of information, especially from professional organizations, such as Society of Professional Journalists. This library guide can help you navigate and evaluate the abundant online information.
