Emergency Managers have the skills and expertise to save lives in situations that would cause others to panic. They help reduce the loss of life or property throughout the four stages of emergency management: preparedness, mitigation, response, and recovery. ACC AAS degree in Emergency Management
The Associate of Applied Science degree in Emergency Management will help prepare students for further attainment of their educational goals and/or employment within the Emergency Management career field. The Associate of Applied Science degree plan requires the student successfully pass a capstone course during the last semester of their program.

Emergency Responders: Tips for taking care of yourself
"Responding to disasters is both rewarding and challenging work. Sources of stress for emergency responders may include witnessing human suffering, risk of personal harm, intense workloads, life-and-death decisions, and separation from family. Stress prevention and management is critical for responders to stay well and to continue to help in the situation. There are important steps responders should take before, during, and after an event. To take care of others, responders must be feeling well and thinking clearly."

Apps (little software applications) allow you to customize your tablet to do the things you like to do. Some of the apps listed are free, while others are fee-based. Additionally, some apps are initially free, and then require in-app purchases if more features and functionality are desired. Listed, you will find some app recommendations we have come up with through trial, error, and our own experiences.
