General Scholarship Application
ACC makes it easy to apply for all eligible ACC Foundation scholarships at once. Just fill out the application at the link above and you'll get matched to any scholarships available.
NURSE Corps Scholarship Program
This is a government program that will pay tuition/fees, books and a monthly stipend in exchange for an obligation to work in a Critical Shortage Facility after traduation
Deadline: Usually in June
National Health Service Corps
The NHSC offers loan repayment plans for new healthcare workers willing to work in areas of the US with limited access to care.
Indian Health Service (IHS) Loan Repayment Porgram
"The LRP funds IHS clinicians to repay their eligible health profession education loans — up to $40,000 — in exchange for an initial two-year service commitment to practice in health facilities serving American Indian and Alaska Native communities. "
Just searching out on the web for scholarships can be tricky. Here are a few sites that point to legitimate scholarships.
Nursing Professional Association Scholarships
Many nursing associations offer scholarships. Sometimes memberships (or student membership) is required.
College Blue Book, Volume 5
Volume 5 of the College Blue Book covers information on Scholarships, Fellowships, Grants and Loans. After following this link:
1) Enter your ACCeID and password if you're off campus
2) In the Table of Contents, click on Medical Sciences
3) Choose Nursing Scholarships, Fellowships, Grants and Loans
Not the easiest source to use, and it only gives basic information, but it's updated every year and is a consistent source.
