Central Health
Central Health arranges for healthcare services for Travis County residents who are not eligible for other private or public insurance programs. To qualify for full benefits under the Medical Assistance Program (MAP), residents must be at or below 100% of the Federal Poverty Income Guideline (FPIG), unless elderly or disabled, who must be at or below 200% FPIG.

Central Health is a separate political subdivision of the State of Texas and is not a part of Travis County Government. The boundaries of its health care service area are contiguous with Travis County.
CommUnityCare
CommUnityCare operates 18 health center locations in Travis County. They offer comprehensive primary care services for the entire family including: family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, women's health services, behavioral health services, and dental care.

CommUnityCare is a not-for-profit 501(c) (3) corporation providing primary care health services to the medically underserved. For over 30 years, we served as the Community Health Centers, operating as a department of the City of Austin. In March 2009, we became CommUnityCare, operating independently from the City.

Texas Cancer Information
Free information on all aspects of cancer, ranging from risk factors, finding physicians, support resources, statistics, and external links. Funded by The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Lone Star Circle of Health
This is a federally qualified community health center with 16 community clinics serving Central Texas. They provided nearly 130,000 patient visits for medically under-served adults and children in 2009.   It's primary service area is Central Texas but outside Austin. However there is one Austin clinic.

Some of LSCC’s patients have public insurance (Medicaid, CHIP, etc.), but are unable to find a primary care doctor who will see them. Nearly 45 percent don’t have adequate health insurance coverage or have no coverage at all. Many of the uninsured are hardworking families that simply can’t afford coverage; in Texas 79 percent of uninsured adults work or have at least one working family member. Through Lone Star Circle of Care these hardworking Texans can obtain healthcare services that improve their lives and reduce the overall cost burden of the entire healthcare system.

St. David's Healthcare System
Physician information, hospital services, patient education materials, and many other interesting resources are offered St. David's health care partnership in Austin.
Travis County Health and Human Services
They cover a broad spectrum of goals including the prevention of homelessness, domestic violence, STD testing and prevention, communicable diseases and injuries from falls. They also cover services for deaf and hard of hearing people. Info on emergency assistance for household needs.
