This guide is meant to provide information and help for high school librarians who serve students also taking classes at Austin Community College, whether at your campus or one of ours. You will find information about the resources and services available to all ACC students, including those in Dual Credit or Early College High School courses. Any student taking a dual credit class is considered an ACC student and has access to all of the same privileges and spaces as any other ACC student, including the library. You will also find information about how the library can help ACC faculty teaching courses at your high school, for those times when ACC instructors ask you questions at your campus.
Librarian-Faculty Partnerships help student retention and success. This guide includes:

In your high school library, you may receive questions about ACC Dual Credit class assignments or ACC resources. This guide, the library services website, and the general ACC website have many resources that may help, but you can also steer students directly to ACC librarians for help. There are many ways students can contact a librarian for help. In the central Get Help box on the library homepage, they can chat with us 24/7, find a phone number and email, and even sign up to schedule a Zoom appointment with a librarian. If you have any questions yourselves, feel free to contact us directly using our contact information listed in this guide. But you can also feel free to chat with a librarian 24/7!
