January 1, 2008, Round Rock Independent School District voters approved annexation by the Austin Community College District, allowing students in that area to pay in-district tuition for classes at ACC. ACC Timeline.

The Round Rock Public Library opened doors to a new building in January 2023. Located at 200 East Liberty Avenue, right across the street from the old building, the new library is approximately 66,000 square feet with an adjacent parking garage.
