The ACC History Department is part of the Liberal Arts Area of Study and throughout the year offers the course Hist 2301-History of Texas, a survey of the political, economic, social, cultural, and intellectual development of Texas from prehistoric time to the present with attention given to racial and ethnic minoritized communities.

The Legislative Reference Library of Texas and Texas Legislature Online not only provide online access to legislative history documents but also provide useful tutorial and educational materials on the Texas legislative process as well as links to the Texas Constitution, Statutes, and Codes.
