A private liberal arts university established in 1840, making it the oldest college in the state of Texas. The student body, as of 2022, consists over 1,500 students.

The Texas State Round Rock Campus is located north of Austin. Students there can take upper-level courses leading to bachelor’s degrees and complete master’s degree and certificate programs. Students who complete their degree requirements at the Round Rock Campus earn their degrees from Texas State University.

The Texas A&M University School of Medicine is a community-based medical school providing clinical training at regional clinical campuses across Texas through affiliations with local physicians, clinics and hospitals.

The Williamson Museum is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation established in 1997 to collect, preserve and exhibit items relating to the rich culture and heritage of Williamson County. We offer free and exciting hands-on educational programs to the public through innovative exhibits, tours and outreach including our annual Chisholm Trail Days Event at San Gabriel Park, Pioneer Day at Old Settlers Park, and Archeology Day at Berry Springs Park & Preserve.

Georgetown Art Works is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that manages the Art Center, offering exhibits, artists talks, and receptions. They also offer studio rentals.

A community band, a wind and percussion ensemble composed of musicians from Cedar Park, Leander, Round Rock, Pflugerville and the surrounding area.

The Williamson County Symphony Orchestra was formed under the name Hill Country Community Orchestra in early 2002. The Orchestra was established to provide an opportunity for non-professional adult musicians and talented students to perform in a dedicated orchestra environment.
